Just looked at those grates and they look pretty good for replacements for my Q300 and Q320, been using the Grillgrates for the 300 series on top of my rusted out grates and been very happy with their performance. Had those been available earlier when I needed grates, I might have sprung for 2...
We haven’t pulled out the crock pot in a long time since we purchased an Instant Pot. Tried a turkey that had been in the bottom of the freezer for quite some time and that was quite the experience but turned out amazing according to the family.
Adam, what size WSM?? My 14.5 grate did that and members reminded me that the bottom grate is slightly smaller than the correct top grate. Once I figured out what one was top and bottom the problem was solved.....
I’ve got that same conversion, I think I paid $175 for it. Way less than a 21” WSM as I had found a free kettle. Came with the leg kit and a ss water pan and instructions. It cooks great, but I still use the 18” the most as it doesn’t eat as much charcoal as that 22” although I think I had 9...
Convection microwave in our Safari Trek rv. Normally keep a folded paper towel in the bottom when using the microwave feature. Flames in the oven when on convection. Lesson learned!!!
My Q220 and my 300 both have the piezo igniters and they are nothing but reliable, my 320 has the battery igniter and requires a light sometimes with a stick lighter. If I remember correctly, a Weber rep said that the piezo lighters would prove to be the most reliable in the long run.
I debated over buying a new grate for my Q300, but instead ordered GrillGrates to fit over the Q grates when there was a sale and haven’t looked back since. I was poo-pooed by people that don’t have them but I have forged on with them and enjoyed their use. Last nite I seared a nice thick...
Check out the Q forum here !! Especially the hints about lighting your Q. Sounds like you are using a large tank and hose instead of a 1# canister. I don’t own a 100 series Q, but my Q220 easily gets to 550* in about 10 minutes.
