    Cutting legs off 18" OTS

    i've cut the legs on several 18 inchers for myself and friends .... you can cut the original legs with a circular or miter saw to 7 1/2 inches ....still gives clearance to remove the ash pan on otg

    anyone travel w/ a OTG kettle?

    legs come off easily...too easy imo ....if your purchasing....go for the 18in ots/otg and cut the legs to 7 1/2 inches ....for a 22 you can cut the legs to 8 1/2 inches....still leaves clearance for otg ash catcher ...extra legs can be purchased from Weber and the front leg will give you 2...

    i find it helps to use a slotted screwdrive to lift (or pull) the H drive....then turning the rod is a breeze ...

    Smokey Joe is an excellent grill

    i cut the legs down on the ots 18inch to 7 1/2 inches....with a bungee cord makes it very portable
