Where to purchase Weber Summit Kamado?

Ready to pull the trigger and purchase the Weber Summit Kamado. Pricing looks standard everywhere. Anyone know of a source that would be beneficial in any way? Bonus bucks, free goodies, etc? This is a significant outlay for me so I want to maximize my purchases…

    What is everyone's favorite charcoal?

I have a friend in Texas that uses it and likes it. I have to feed a 22” and just can’t afford it!

Getting close to Kingsford charcoal deals?

I’ve not seen any sales at Lowe’s or HD in Florida, but Costco is running $5 off a bundle of Kingsford Professional. I got two large bags of the professional for $14.99 last night.

Help with my 22” fire breathing dragon

I will do my due diligence to check for squareness, address with Weber, and obtain gaskets if necessary.

Help with my 22” fire breathing dragon

Will reach out to Weber. If memory serves me correctly they replaced the bottom section of my 18 for this reason. It then ran perfectly 11 years and someone else is enjoying it now. Where can I get lid gaskets?

Help with my 22” fire breathing dragon

Where did you obtain the door gasket? You kept the original door? I mostly stopped smoke egress there by bending and resending but some still escapes.

Help with my 22” fire breathing dragon

Got an 18.5 more than a decade ago. Used it a lot, mostly overnight 12-14 hour butts and 4-5 hour daytime rib/sausage smokes. It was super dependable and always stable. Sold it recently and got someone else hooked. I bought a 22” and my first two smokes have been troublesome. I used the...

Please edumacate me about the Hunsaker

I have one, only $33 shipped! Well worth it. I got just the plate for use with the stock charcoal ring. One caveat... I am new to the 22” WSM (had my 18.5 for 11 years) and I tried two cooks (my first two cooks on the 22) and it was a fire breathing dragon! No water pan. There are likely other...

    Pro-Q stacker at Stifflers Surplus

http://www.stifflerssurplus.com/p-5313-pro-q-bbq-proq-wsm-185-stacker-for-weber-smokey-mountain-new-in-box.aspx Old news I know, but just picked one up for $33 plus $25 shipping. I got some birthday money, and have toyed with the idea for a long time. I've never seen a WSM locally on...

A longer burn process for kettles

Corey, Missed your request. I did smoke ribs that holiday weekend and they turned out great. Always do. It is harder to keep an even temp though, and the burn time is not nearly as long. I always had to add fuel smoking butts... Think long and hard about parting with the WSM unless you live in...

A longer burn process for kettles

Everything I've read regarding the WSM says to always open the top vent all the way and adjust the bottom vent(s) to regulate heat. I believe the same principles apply with the kettle. I used the firebrick/foil/minion method described in this post for the year between discovering this site and...
