    Whole pork shoulder

Thanks Bob and Mark, think i'm just gonna have to buy one and smoke it. Guess i'll have the butcher measure it to make sure it isn't longer than 18.5 inches. Hopefully the addition of the second shoulder doesn't mess with anything to much. I'll plan on cooking it for an hour per pound. My...

    Whole pork shoulder

I have a cook off coming up at a local bar. We will be smoking 2 whole shoulders and 3 racks of baby back ribs. I have two WSN 18.5 inch smokers which i can use. I plan on putting the 2 shoulders on one, and the three racks of ribs on the other. My question is i've never smoked a whole...

Yet another chicken meal. None- voteable

Where is the ranch/blue cheese dressing Geir? Us Americans in our quest to become the fattest beings on the planet, never eat wings without some kind of mayo based dressing. Wings look great though, very well done.

Random cooks over the past couple weeks

What's up, I've still been cooking just not posting, and it seems like i never get more than 1 pic of what I'm cooking. At any rate i've cooked mostly on my kettle as i've been busy and haven't had time to fire up the smoker. New craycort grates have come in handy. Some thighs i cooked at the...

Grilled Chicken with Alabama White Sauce

    Chuck @y@s

Looks to me like he purchased an extra grate from craycourt, then got some bolts and washers and attached them to the grate. Don't quote me on that though may be something you can purchase.

    Picnic vs. Boston

Funny you should say that, one of my buddies kept telling me it was going to turn out like ham, like a ham you slice for christmas or easter. I was like i'm pretty sure it is part of the shoulder, but by the days end and how it looked on the smoker, he had me talked into believing him, even...

    Picnic vs. Boston

Thanks for the kind words fellas, I enjoy getting down to the lake and smoking meat. It is just a weekend get away. I just got a craycourt cast iron grate for my kettle back home, I'll try to upload some photos of some cooks on it, try to get more active now that i've figured out how to post...

    Picnic vs. Boston

I think i liked the picnic meat better than the boston butt meat. Although i didn't have any of this particular boston butt, i've smoked plenty of them to know what they taste like. I guess i shouldn't of named it Boston vs Picnic since I didn't really compare them side by side.

    Picnic vs. Boston

This weekend I smoked a Boston Butt for my friends down at the lake, and smoked my first picnic for myself, my brother, and a couple friends. We ended up pretty deep in the beers. The boston butt weighed in at just over 6 pounds, and the picnic just over 7 pounds. I left them on for the exact...

    Bacon-wrapped smoked scallops.

Looks like a very nice finished product. I've got a weak spot for a scallop.
