    I understand leaving the room because the smell does kinda of stick in your nose. With them still smelling off after the cook would you have assumed them to be bad. The top two turned out great. Thanks

    Has any one had a problem with off smelling butts from Sam`s. I got two packs for this past weekend smoke, both dated sell by 5/12. One pack just smelled off. Not slimmy, not discolored it just didn`t smell right. I smoked it any way on bottom rack but threw it away because it still didn`t smell...

    Green Horn Needs HELP!!

    I did two Butts and 0ne Brisket this past Fri. Butts 7.5 lbs. each / Brisket 7.5 lbs I put them on at 1830hrs Fri. Dome temp 250` Butts on top. I did not open lid until I took them off at 1600hrs Sat. Butts=190` / Brisket=200` Let them both rest 2hrs They were great. This is almost to easy...

    Pork-Butt Left-overs

    I like to put it on grilled pizza. Mix some BBQ sauce with tomato sauce them your fav. topping and the pulled pork.

    "Chopped chicken"

    I do beer can chickens alot, when cooled somewhat I pull them apart like pulled pork, white and dark meat together. I add some Sweet Baby Rays Hot and Spicy sauce. Taste great.

    If you want to do it low and slow don`t forget about beer can method, I find it a pretty handy way to do chickens. The meat is always moist.

    I would wonder about getting 4 chickens on the bottom rack. That is unless they are small ones. If you get them on I think your four sauces might all mix. Maybe you could smoke butts before and then reheat. Smoke chickens day of your event.

    I also did my 1st overnight this past weekend. Two 7lbs butts top rack, and my 1st flat bottom rack.     Fat up/Fat down #*%!

    Doing my 1st brisket 1/2 flat 6 lbs. tonight. I plan on doing 2 7lbs. pork butt on top rack. Since this is 1st brisket thought I would put it fat side down and let butts drip down on it. Or should I go fat side up as I hear most people say? Everyone have a great weekend.

    Jack Daniels Wood Chips

    I have used the Jack Daniels Chips from Meijer`s Store. I thought it did a good job as far as chips go. Chips seem to burn up to fast for my taste.
