To buy or not to buy... One website with best prices says prices are going up 15% next year.... I have an old gold series and am ready for an upgrade...can't seem to find any steals on used newer style summits much...

Few questions/thoughts... Skin... I've read both keeping it on and taking it off... I took it off... threw it away... but I was wondering... has anyone fried the cured/smoked skin into pork rinds? Would it work? I just made my first batch of the maple bacon smoked with some apple wood...

Are they rusted through? If its an '09 they should be under warranty... 5 years on the stainless grates and flavorizer bars...

I'm possible interested in starting up a team... wanted to know if anyone in the area would want to join up to do some competitions this year...

both of my tanks are new (exchangable) tanks. Any chance the performers starter would work with NG? I have a NG connection on the side of my house. If so, would the original regulator work with it, just get a hose to make the connection from the house to the regulator?

Then I'll just buy a new acme nut (OPD style) and put it on the old regulator, and then use one of the two 20 lb tanks I already have. No need to spend $50 on 5 lb, when I have 2 20s and 20s are cheaper anyway.

So I have a WSM now and have done many cooks on it and am contemplating a second one for larger gatherings + going into competition... how does the ProQ Frontier compare to the WSM? All in all it seems to possible be as nice. Anyone have both and want to chime in?
