I went front the 22 to 18. It's just the wife and I, so the 18 worked out best. I got a deal on a 18 so it was hard to pass up. Using less fuel is also a plus.

How big of a turkey can the 18" fit on the top rack? I have the 22 and having a little buyers remorse since I can get a 18" for $200. It's just for the wife and I and the 22 seems overkill just for us two.

You're right on that. However with the 22 you can load up the food on the top rack without having to remove it to get to the lower levels. Charcoal is fairly cheap now a days. I stock up when they're 2 bags for $10. I hope I have enough for the season. However the 18 is a good compromise. Just...

Thanks. The problem I have now is I have a 22 which I just bought and a 18. The 22 was $360 and 18 was $200. I thought they were great deals. However the wife doesn't think so. I'm getting the feeling I should probalbly only keep one. Decisions decisions.

Was able to get the 18.5 for $200. They had the 14 for 140. $60 more for the bigger size was a no brainee for me. Now I have a 18 and 22. The 22 might be headed back to the store.

I guess my door is defective. After I did my first cook, the side where the door is a rainbow color. I guess due to heat/smoke escape?
