Bought used Silver B of CL last year, had it 6 months and only used it once (just to try it) and ended up selling it to my office for what I paid so we could use it there. I just prefer charcoal and gas just didn't do it for me. I'm sticking with the Performer.
I thought it was SOP to hook up a 20 lb tank and use it fire up a chimney full of coals for either grilling or the minion method for the WSM???
There are people out there that don't do this??
made these today and they went over great, I just did salt and pepper pre grilling but 5 of us when through 30 wings on top of 3 dozen oysters and sausage and stuffed tomatoes.
I'll definitely make these again!!!

I did all of my smoking on Thursday for a work lunch, two pork butts and a brisket, turned out fantastic.
Spent today making my first ever batch of homebrew.
finished my limecello yesterday, overall I'm pleased but I was surprised that my finished product is a brighter yellow than any batch I've made from lemons. Also while I can tell its lime I'd be willing to be that if I didn't mention it to people they'd think it was lemon. Its good but not...
they are just clear plastic panels, its definitely breezy and open air on it. good thing I still got some time to figure this one out. most of the time I just fire up the charcoal grill but I'm tired of dealing with my go anywhere gasser when I its pouring. its too tiny and the burner blows...
I've got a Genesis Silver B that I am wanting to use on my deck when it is raining. It is an open sided deck so ventilation isn't a problem but it is covered with plastic sheets (they kinda look like a plastic version of metal roofing material). Do you think the heat would be too much and I'd...
I'm going to be smoking brisket and pork butt for work and my question is regarding times. Based off the cooking times from the Cooking section it looks like the brisket will only take about 12-13 hours while the pork butt should take about 16-18. I've cooked lots of pork butt and I've got it...
I just added the SS and 2nd 5th of vodka to a batch of limecello today, not the green color I thought it was going to be but it smells ok. Guess I'll wait a month to strain and freeze and see what I end up with.
I've had an itch to get a gasser to compliment the Performer for a while now. My go anywhere is dying and rather than replace it I thought I'd see if I could score a decent full sized. Normally I use it on the covered deck during rain or when I want to cook something quickly.
After missing...
