    ??? for those of you w/ both a gas and charcoal grill...

    Bought used Silver B of CL last year, had it 6 months and only used it once (just to try it) and ended up selling it to my office for what I paid so we could use it there. I just prefer charcoal and gas just didn't do it for me. I'm sticking with the Performer.

    am i a lazy american?

    I thought it was SOP to hook up a 20 lb tank and use it fire up a chimney full of coals for either grilling or the minion method for the WSM??? There are people out there that don't do this??

    I threw mine away after the first use and haven't ever looked back. I've cooked some huge chunks of meat on the thing and haven't ever missed it.

    Orange Marmalade Sriracha Wings

    made these today and they went over great, I just did salt and pepper pre grilling but 5 of us when through 30 wings on top of 3 dozen oysters and sausage and stuffed tomatoes. I'll definitely make these again!!!

    Magnetic knife bar

    I had the one from Ikea and it had problems holding up a 9" chef's knife if I didn't place it on their flat. So I ended up only keeping smaller knives on it. I upgraded to the Wusthof one and it is a much much stronger magnet. You almost have to pry the cleaver off there it is so strong.

    My performer is less than a year old but lately when I try to use the gas assist it doesn't work so well. I get a great flame for about 2 seconds and then it dies down to hardly anything.
