    Vortex Question?

That would be incorrect. If you visit the manufacturers website you will see there is an authorized Amazon dealer: Island Outdoor LLC.

    Kanka Grill Rotisserie

I’ve inverted a couple of charcoal baskets and placed a spare charcoal grate on top. This raises the coals about 3.5 inches.

Anyone here ever use a “Kudu”?

Bob, you’re right, though like hanging foods in my WSM22 and Roti on my 22 kettle I’m always looking for new ways to cook. Open fire is what I want to try next and it’s portable. One day a Santa Maria too.

Anyone here ever use a “Kudu”?

I want one of these and will get one in the next year or so. It’s essentially elevated and portable camp fire cooking with the ability to adjust how high or low you want your food from the embers. I’d use it over grass to catch the dripping if you swing out the grate. I also like the idea of...

Gabby’ Grills vs BBQ Pit Boys Santa Maria/Corona conversion kits

If someone knows better please correct me, but Gabby’s is a family business and made in the USA while the other is fabricated in Mexico and distributed from the States.

    Unconventional Tools

I know your talking unconventional tools but the wok ladle and wok brush should be used for a wok in the traditional sense. Cooking with a wok on the kettle is fantastic. I use a vortex basket with a wok ring on the grate above and can get some fantastic heat going for wok dishes. Besides no...

    Kanka Grill Rotisserie

By the way I have a weber rotisserie which is great but the Kanka opens up many options for cooking with fire beyond the kettle.

    Kanka Grill Rotisserie

Tony I’ve been eyeing these things for a while and will probably get one. The idea is they are for open fire cooking and portable. I’d burn small splits in the kettle rather than just briquettes. You can use these over a park grill or a camp fire. No lid necessary since all sides get heat.

    Gateway hanging rack

Thanks for the help. Looks like it will work. From the outside of one bar to the other is 7.25 inches. The only trick will be getting a turkey off the rack. With luck I’ll fit it between the bars, otherwise I’ll have to take the entire rack off with the turkey and lay the bird on a platter...

    Gateway hanging rack

If you could that would be great. I’ll measure the distance between the bars on the gateway. I just want to be sure it sits securely. Their site says 8.6 inches but part of the hanger is angled down.

    Gateway hanging rack

Anyone know if the PBC turkey hanger works with the 55 gallon Gateway rack? I’d like to know if it sits securely across the two horizontal bars of the gateway rack.

Anyone have any pics of DIY Hanging Rack for 18" or 22"

You can buy the Gateway 55 gal drum rack for the 22 or the 30 gal rack for the 18. Of course if you like to fabricate you can copy the design too. It’s pretty simple.

Any cons to a hot'n'fast brisket?

Is it that the HnF briskets need to be rested longer for the carry over heat to finish the job?

PBC rib rack hooks - new accessory

Look like they are on back order. I think they would be ideal for kabobs and picanha as well as al pastor.
