    New stoker-web

Just plugged my stoker back in for a long cook and ran Stoker Web only to get a directory instead of the gauges... Anyone run into this?

    New stoker-web

I've had been having issues, I just wiped out the war file from both my STOKERWEB_DIR and the war file from webapps, including it's directory. Downloaded the new WAR to a different machine and used the manager to deploy from there. I'm thinking I either had some mismatched WAR files or...

My properties file is in my STOKERWEB_DIR not the webapps directory. Other than that, I'm doing pretty much the same.

Don't feel bad, I forget to touch the login.properties file every time. I think my issues came when I had multiple versions scattered across different areas. Cleaned it all out, reinstalled and poof, the system came up. Gonna go get the stoker and test it out tomorrow.

Gary, If you would like I can give you admin rights on my server box and put it out in the wild. At least that way you could have a running test bed to play with. Let me know if that would help and I'll set you up an account. That or I'll switch over from tomcat to jetty since I think I can...

I think I found something in the Catalina logs... At least Tomcat thinks it is severe... I'm not seeing any other logs, which file would you like me to look for? Gary Catalina log below ==== Oct 27, 2012 5:22:23 PM org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina start INFO: Server startup in 13178 ms...

Wow, you are much further along than I am... Now is there a way to switch off the weather? :) Smoking without a log makes me paranoid... not to say the WSM/stoker don't do fine, it's just I'm spoiled with all the graphs and alarms. Gary, what would it take to get you interested in a Apple...

    New stoker-web

Cracked the smoker open and got ready to go today... upgraded the stokerweb and now no connection. Crap! I'm betting it's a configuration problem cause I can see the stoker in it's native mode. I just have to find where it hides the config file. Any suggestions?

Gary, Appreciate all the hard work. It sounds like you have the same issue I do with some of my databases I use at work. There is always a better idea out there. I just wish I could be more help!

    New stoker-web

I usually start a new cook log with each changeover. Right now I have spareribs running and will be changing over in about three to four hours... Then I'll move onto chicken. It's a shame you can't build a soft link to the real name of the probe and have it update in the log... Or not even...

I had a problem with a new power supply, emailed about it and four days later, new power supply. Can't complain about my experience with them!

Mr. Noles is my dad, I go by Noles or G, depending on if we're at work or not. yeah, I can't remember which probe was in what, and sometimes on day-long smokes I'll move a probe to a different cut. Last cook it was dark and I crossed the probes. Pulled the chicken a touch late. Hope the...

Gary, I'm betting that the config file is read at startup only then. I'll keep writing down what is on what probe, or rename to top and bottom... I've gotten CRS bad, must be true what they say about diet drinks!

Stoker System WSM 18" - is it worth it?

I'm with Scott, I'm into the tech toys as well. Does it make my BBQ better... No. Does it make it easier for me to sleep at night durink long cooks, absolutely. Hopefully, I'll find a good CL score and run multiple pits.
