The 'Old' New in the stable.

the temp was creeping up? did ya take the lid off a few times to check the cook? you likely have an air leak somewhere. First thing I do with a smokey mountain is check all pieces for an out of round condition with a tape measure. Measure in an X pattern across the cooker. Squeeze the area where...

Your charcoal is lying to you

I used tons of different brands from cheap to expensive. Royal oak I've noticed the wood flooring scraps in there sometimes, really didn't bother me. Cowboy, it worked as well. I do think though when you get into B&B- JD and other more expensive bags there is a quality improvement and less...

    90s performer

what would you be willing to pay for a mint, red- stainless top performer? Did I leave out its mint and with all original paperwork? If it was green it would be an instant buy but man even the wheels still have the logo on them intact.

    First cook on WSM 18!

I put the wood chunks on the charcoal grate then dump the lit coals on top of it, I also split the wood chunks into smaller pieces ( around 1 inch thick) so they catch fire quicker for cleaner burn. Assemble the cooker then put the food on.

    Customized 26 put to use.

I wish weber would move the thermometer to the same location nearer to the exhaust vent

    26" Master-Touch in Color Poll

green like the performer or copper for me, but I think the glen blue 26 is a sweet looking grill.

Never keen on a Ranch till now!

that glen blue 22 or 26 would be one I would definitely purchase

Cleaning the outside of Kettle and WSM

409 Ive also used easy off bbq grill edition to clean up the vents after they start getting hard to adjust due to build up under them

Weber Summit - temp is running away

frankly I wouldn't sweat 300 degree temp with a pork butt, I see no benefit to temps under 250 degrees for most things and quit fighting long drawn-out cooks to maintain low temps decades ago.

    WSM 18 again

I've done the same thing. Started on a kettle >Brinkmann gourmet bullet >Lang offset > WSM > Humphrey vertical insulated > WSM > 1904 offset > Weber Kettle > now considering a WSM or WSK, performer or 26"kettle. For the money, the WSM held its own and even bettered more expensive cookers.

Putting big wheels on my Performer to lift it up

that is one nice looking performer with those tires on there, I keep looking for those old SS performers but they all need more work than I want to do to restore the frame

Need new 26" SS grill for my kettle.

I saw a 26 in person for the first time at ace hardware, man that size is tempting especially for smoking brisket. I wish weber made a 24 or 26 performer I would be very tempted to buy

Who else wants to see Weber update the Performer Deluxe Charcoal Grill?

man I really dig the old school performer cart, simple....Ive been on the look out for one that is not totally trashed and rusted out

Looking at buying a 22in kettle and already thinking about "upgrades"

the lid holder on the master touch- performers is a godsend, I currently just have the premium 22 that does not have that and I miss it. I was on the fence about the SnS deluxe at first but Ive come to use it all the time now. I also had a craycort cast iron cooking grate at one time that I...
