    Vintage or Antique Weber Resources

Shaun, I'm not the Big Guy but his house is just down the road from mine. I'll go down and see if I can call in a favor for the Red Kettles, WSMs and Rancher for Jeff but he doesn't like the way I look at his reindeer so I don't know how far I will get! Jeff, That is an incredible...

    Weber Literature Scans

The Manual is Copyrighted 1990. I received it with a One-Touch kettle that has an "N" date code indicating it was made in 1991.

Remember that Redhead I picked up earlier this week? Well here are some scans from the Cookbook that came with it. I thought these were the more interesting pages...the rest will come later as well as some other documents that came with the grill. Enjoy!!

    Vintage or Antique Weber Resources

Troy, Thank you very much for the info!! You have pretty much answered all of my questions. As you have probably guessed, I have a BBQ problem and it has turned towards collecting old Weber Kettles. I have no interest in making an investment or starting a business. I just want to be a smart...

    Vintage or Antique Weber Resources

As some of you know I recently purchased a 20 year old Red One Touch Kettle with some encouragement from forum members. Many thanks to those who help steer me in the right direction! That being said, I can't seem to find any online resources for the identification of old Weber products except...

    CL Find

I pulled the trigger and got the red weber!! It's not new. It has a few porcelain chips on the edge of the lid, the wood is showing some weathering, the bowl is dusty inside, and the ash catcher is dinged up a little with some light pitting. The grate doesn't seem to have been cooked on and the...

    Kingsford lump?

I read "The Naked Whiz" review of the Kingsford Charwood before I bought it. The review indicated that the Kingsford Charwood was okay but not great. I tried it anyway as Lump charcoal is hard to find in Fairbanks, Alaska. I was not pleased with it. I did find some plastic "twine" in my bag just...

Difference in temp on WSM racks?

Kevin, Thanks for bringing that up. I haven't used a water pan for quite some time now. I use a foiled clay flowerpot base in place of the water pan and water. Sometimes I forget that when trying to help out.

Difference in temp on WSM racks?

Johnny P, I am pretty sure that the lower rack is warmer than the top rack. I place my pit temp probe right below the top rack and take my temps there but I have found that meat on the bottom rack seems to cook faster than the meat on the top rack. I have not yet taken temps from both racks at...

    WSM in colors!!!

I like the way you folks think!! I would love to see a special edition WSM, something in a color other than black, factory mods, insulated version, etc. Heck, I'd even be willing to spend a little extra to get something like that!! Put my name on the petition!!
