Weber E-610 on clearance at Lowes - $325

There are supposed to be 2 in stock ~100 miles away from me. It's a little tempting, but I'm just gonna remind myself they still rust. I just got my Bull working good (Thank you Grillgrates!). It mostly doesn't rust and is a perfect size for me.

Weber E-610 on clearance at Lowes - $325

Probably an employee holding it in the back to buy at the end of their shift. :)

The rust is at the bottom of the stand's legs. It's not heavy. The paint is starting to bubble in spots on the lid. I'll probably eventually repaint it. Since thoroughly cleaning out the burner holes, it lights right up with a nice even flame. Got the crud off the grates and am seasoning...

I've got a little bit of rust on the bottom of the legs and of course the grate, but otherwise really nothing. it should clean up nice.

    "Weber geniuses 300 propane Grill - $400"

I kinda figure a compliment to the buyer is never a bad thing :)

Busch Gardens was a bust but snagged a Q off CL while I was in the Tampa area. $40 got me a slightly dirty Q200, stand, and 20 lb. propane tank with adapter. Not as good as some have done, but I'm not complaining. Everything seems to work at least, so should just be a matter of cleaning it up.

First local sweet corn this year

Foiled with butter, salt, pepper, and tajin is the way I like it. If you've never used tajin, give it a shot. I bet you like it.

Dry Aged Steak in 48 hours

Gonna check my Asian grocer for the moldy rice to try this. Amazon seemed a bit expensive.

Purchase suggestion for new gas grill

I agree. My 3 burner always felt cramped, expecially when I started using a vegetable tray. My 4 burner, not a Weber, but same depth and 4 inches wider feels like so much more space. That griddle accessory is cool.

Looking for people's thoughts on a potential Used Summit

I'm working through the kinks on a Bull now. I would keep in mind anything you need to replace is probably gonna be expensive. Check it thoroughly and know what to look for. I've got mine working but it is bad with the flare-ups and hot spots. I've got the old style solid flavorizers. The...

Top of the Line Bull Grill - $600 - Tampa

So finally here are the pics. It isn't sexy like a Weber Summit, but it's built like cafeteria equipment for the most part. It's been sitting on my back porch pretty much ignored for the last year. Other than a thick layer of pollen/grime, it held up fine. No rust. The control knobs are...

Costco Snake River Farms brisket find. worth the extra cost?

For just $1 more per pound, I'd try it. I've read American Wagyu isn't the same though. If a cow is only half Wagyu, the meat can still be called Wagyu in the US, but not Japan, something along those lines anyway.

Top of the Line Bull Grill - $600 - Tampa

Ha! Been awhile huh? Turns out the burners were bowed and needed to be replaced. How much are new cast stainless burners for a $3K grill? Oh, about $90 each from Bull and I needed 4. I was a bit frustrated with it and ignored it for awhile. I finally scored a deal on new burners via Ebay...

Mojo's Smoked and Flash Fried Wings - Anybody got a good copycat recipe?

Finally took a stab at this. I don't have a deep fryer, so seasoned with baking powder and salt to crisp the skin. 2 hours at 250 smoking with cherry, then 1/2 hour on the grill between 400 and 450. The wings are edible but too crisp. The color is about right Wondering if I should reduce...

    Pork tenderloin on kettle rotisserie

Looks really good! I've been smoking tenderloins lately as well. Can't really beat it for a nice quick smoke and pretty darn cheap too. I
