Last cook with my standard Kingsford charcoal

First choice is Stubb's, for reasons listed above. Wish I could find it here year-round. Use a lot of Blue Bag Kingsford as well...for it's predictability and availability (you can always find some). Have tried the Trader Joes (Rancher). It's good stuff too...only carry it out here for a few...

Ryan, Nice builds for sure!! Love the Double Barrel UDS trailer...how does she work? Did you compete with it? I use my bullets for, mostly, indirect cooking...with a pan full of water. Low n Slow cooks here. When I use the UDS I'm doing it without a diffuser. The drippings from meat...

Thanks for the detailed pics!! Continue to be very interested by this... Easy to see how vent extends into charcoal basket. Does this vent ever get clogged? Or does the stoker blower keep it free? Ryan, you're using a water pan? Looks like w/o the diffuser you'd have a great little uds...

Ron, I'd contact the Cajun Bandit folks directly. Let them know you're interested. I've seen the prototype in action. Works like a champ! Very well built. You can see several threads in Q-talk on the Brethren website.

John, looks good. A greate idea (hanging those ribs). From the pics is looks like some were darker...I assume these were the ends of the racks closest to the bottom, and the heat. True? Did you find the "bottoms" of the racks to be as tasty as the "tops?" I'm intrigued by this method. May...

John, that's a good lookin' smoker right there!! Like the red color...I'm really interested to see how the paint holds up over time (I've used the high temp spray paint before...seems to fade even though it's temp rating hasn't been exceeded). Post some pics of your rib cook. I'd be very...

I hear you George! I really do...my daughter and I made our mod together. This was part of her 2nd grade science project (on the formation of a smoke ring). Katie earned both a blue ribbon for 2nd grade, and a best of show award. At the science fair we were able to display several...

Brian has now posted some action shots of the little bandit! Like this: Got to see this myself tonight. I was impressed with quality of contruction, and how well it fit the smokey joe. Very stable, no leaks. Will be looking at purchasing one of these as soon as they are available.

I'm guessing 16gal drum (I've seen several mini UDS created using this size drum and SJ lid). Do you suppose ribs were hanging? Or, maybe, cut into mini-sized slabs? Can't wait to see details of this setup!! Very cool!!
