No problem. Keep us posted on what you come up with. I think the cooking grates in my CharQ are good, but I don't know about the charcoal basket. I may try something like the one you pictured above.

Josh, A couple things. That charcoal grate like the one you pictured above would be easy with a welder and some 4mm stainless rod. The only modification to it that I would consider is to extend the rods out past the supports to match the curvature of the grill cook box. That could easily be...

Sorry, unless you find a used set (likely on a CharQ), I know of no other source for them new or used. I think most owners and likely Weber as well simply decided Gas Q2xx grates were a good enough alternative.

Nope, if you have the tools and skills, creating a new tray out of stainless would be pure awesome and I think possible. I would think a fabrication shop could make one pretty easily as well and not at too great of an expense. But even a garage mechanic could fab up something, I would think...

Josh, you are gonna have to find a New in Box CharQ for it to be in the same condition as your Performer. The biggest problem with the CharQ these days is the charcoal basket as I don't know of a source for them any longer.

Yes, the cart and the Q look great. Maybe he would like to consider finding a set of the fold out shelves. Ones that fit a Q2xx grill should fit that grill.
