Pizza idea hatched from pizza oven use

I use one of those as well Josh. But, I don't make my own pizza's. I use them on frozen or Take and Bake pizza's.

200 grills need to be saved from the scrap yard in Northern Virginia!!!!!

Yah, rust. My sworn enemy. The problem with those Gen2 grills, even the open cart ones is that the supports rust just as bad as the slats and those are welded in. So not easily replaced.

200 grills need to be saved from the scrap yard in Northern Virginia!!!!!

I mostly stick to Silver/Gold/Platinum B and C grills, but I am finding that harder to do with the rehab candidates getting more and more scarce. I also think that the customer base is becoming more and more in tune with the newer versions as well.

200 grills need to be saved from the scrap yard in Northern Virginia!!!!!

I am all for giving a grill a second life, but I just don't want to add a hoard of grills to the burden my kids will have to deal with after I am gone or no longer able to deal with them. But, I too have to resist the urge to "collect" when my rehabbing is not keeping up. Collecting is an...

I agree. First thing I would do is fire it up full blast and see what kind of temps you get at grate level. Is the IR burner is a little above but behind the grates? Optimal would be directly above them grates, but if the IR is in the back of the cook box like on a Summit, you would probably...

    Weber Parts Deals

Thanks Cody. Great deal for both products. But, I just don't need the 9mm grates. I picked up 5 sets of the casters though.

Looking for recommendations on grill brushes.

If you have round stainless steel rod grates, get a Chargon. Simple, very effective and very safe. https://www.amazon.com/CharGon-Stainless-Ultimate-Cleaning-Grills/dp/B00UI1X0L2?tag=tvwb-20 I also have this style of brush which is safe and I am quite satisfied with it. I don't know what...

15" 9mm grates for Silver A, Spirit 500 and similar grills

I agree Jon. I bought a set back in July for $31.99 for a flip grill. I couldn't see putting a 7mm set on the grill when I got these for $32. And I was equally impressed with them as you are.

I will just leave this here

NP Val. I should have added that if you use any kind of cleaner such as a grill cleaner or even Simple green, you should throughly rinse the cook box out and do a good high heat burn off before putting any food on it.

I will just leave this here

Unless the cook box is very lightly gunked up, I would start with a putty knife. About 2". Just scrape it out. Then if you think it needs more, a grill cleaner and some household SS steel wool will finish it off. Simple green in place of the grill cleaner would work as well. This is the...

INCREDIBLE!! 2 Jrs in 2 days!!

Dang, that grill looks barely used for a 40 year old grill. I think someone is coming down with Weberitis.

    2nd Chance for a True Weber Classic: A 1998 1st Generation Summit 450

The biggest problem I see with swapping in the summit IR burner to a genesis grill is that if you fab it into the lid, it needs to account for the lid pivoting on open and close, whereas on the summit, it is mounted on a stationary tall back panel of the Summit cook box. The LX grills I know...
