    FS Thermoworks Smoke

I bought a new Thermoworks system so I'm getting rid of my 2 year old SMOKE. It's got some cosmetic damage (see pics) but it works fine. Make me an offer. I'll add $10 for shipping.

    WORDLE - the latest thing

The other day, before I found this thead, my first guess was TACIT. DING DING DING. That was the word of the day. Sorry, didn't save the proof. But... this will have to do.

    stubbs briquettes

My Lowe's doesn't have them in stock and when I try to order them from lowes.com they won't deliver to the store, only to my home... for a huge delivery fee. Amazon doesn't appear to carry them any more. And... they are not listed on the stubbs web site. :-(

    Help! Over cooked Tri-Tip

I went to Costco to get a Tri-Tip roast. They didn't have any so I bought their Tri-Tip "steaks / strips". Using this link http://www.virtualweberbullet.com/tritip1.html, which calls for a roast, I seasoned them, brought my WSM to 350 degrees & tossed them on. Note: the seasoning called for...

Jeff's Naked Rub and Special Sauce

I bought Jeff's recipes a couple of years ago. His rub recipe is too hot for my taste. I ended up backing off on the black pepper and eliminating the cayenne. I have modified Jeff's recipe and get rave reviews. I'm glad that I bought Jeff's secret. His BBQ sauce is excellent and his rub was a...

    Bacon made easy

I prepped my pork belly on Saturday using the method in the Charcuterie book which called for pink salt. Then... I was reading stuff online that said that Himalania Pink Salt is not what they mean. I easily found Himalania salt so that's what I had used. Glad I caught the error. I rushed down to...

Curing and smoking bacon for the WSM 18.5 - Help check my sanity :)

This question should probably be moved to the charcuterie section. I will be doing my first bacon next weekend and have the same question about getting my 18.5" to 185°.
