After years of finding reds and blacks, I finally found a blue.

That’s the price tag, now removed.

After years of finding reds and blacks, I finally found a blue.

This Genesis sat outside a local thrift store until I brought it home for $15. Wood is in decent shape, should be able to refinish and reuse it. Apparently it had cast iron grates when it arrived but someone bought them separately. No biggie, I prefer stainless grates. But I’m surprised they...

Anyone selling refurbished vintage Weber gassers in AZ?

I’m in AZ, and I have a few older Genesis grills. I refurbished one (a keeper) but haven’t gotten to the others yet.

Just discovered that a $40 Performer will fit upright in a 4Runner if you remove the lid.

That’s pretty awesome. It’s kinda fun fitting things into sedans that seem unlikely at first.

I considered that. I drove well under the speed limit and thankfully didn’t have any issues.

Just thrifted this Performer and was pleasantly surprised to find that it fit upright in the back of my 4Runner. Only had to remove the lid.

I've spent $20 on worse things - Genesis Jr

Very kind of you to offer! I have a few parts grills right now, with wood and Z bars, so I'm solid in that department. Really appreciate it though!

I've spent $20 on worse things - Genesis Jr

Thanks! I've had a pretty good summer when it comes to grills. Started off by picking up a blue Gen 2 Performer for $70, then found a Genesis 3000 on the side of the road, and then this Genesis Jr. I'm not planning on doing a crazy resto on this Jr, but I have enough parts to replace all the...

I've spent $20 on worse things - Genesis Jr

This popped up on my local FB marketplace. I definitely did not need another grill, but I know these are somewhat rare. So I brought it home for $20. It needs work, and is missing a few things, but the burners look okay, and the grates are in good shape. Cool to see one of these Gennie Jr's in...

This was put out for the taking.

Oh damn! I would love to see one of those in person. They seem to be pretty rare.

Thanks for all the comments and offers of support, I really appreciate it. This forum helped a ton with my other restoration, which I posted here last year. This grill is in better condition, and it shouldn't be too hard to get it looking like new again.

They did not. Just looking to get rid of it, I guess. And I agree, it's a good-looking grill.

I was running some errands and saw this sitting in front of a house. It appeared to be up for grabs, but I knocked on the door to be sure. I confirmed it was free, and then loaded it up. Pretty sure it's a Genesis 3000, all wood slats present and in decent condition. Needs cleaning, a knob, and...

Much thanks for all the offers of support. I brought it home. I'll post an update when I start working on it.

    Genesis redhead in AZ

Made a trip to the local St. Vincent to drop off a donation, and saw this in the yard. Genesis redhead, looks like a 2000, durawood side tables, stainless grates, non-stainless flavorizer bars. How hard is it to switch it from natural gas to propane? Might bring it home. It's marked $40, but as...
