No sneers or laughter, but has anyone ever smoked a ham; by ham I mean the kind you find in your local grocery store (Smithfield, etc). If so would you be so kind as to help me in the procurement (what type of pork) and preparation of one? Any help would be appreciated since I have been asked very kindly by Ms. Claus (who is also the procurer of my WSM!) to smoke a Christmas ham.
Thanks Chris for your update; however, what piece of pork would I ask my butcher for if I wanted to smoke a 'fresh ham'?
