Replicating Trilbey's bbq sauce

These guys make my favorite sauce. They are a local PNW company. I am more than happy to support them, but for my own education would like to try and make it from scratch. Problem is I don't have a good idea of what's in it. Are any of you guys good at tasting a sauce and indentifying the ingredients? It is a tomato based sauce and while they list a bunch of ingredients they don't give you the important spice combo they use. I don't blame them one bit.

I tried this last weekend, and while it wasn't bad it wasn't Trilbey's. Here is what I made -

2 tablespoons oil
3/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
3/4 cup (6 oz.) Tree Top Frozen Concentrate Apple Juice, thawed
1/4 cup chili sauce
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon Ancho chili powder
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1/2 tsp chipotle powder
1/2 ts oregano
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 1/2 tsp liquid smoke

One note, for me it was too sweet. I'm going to cut back on the sweet components next time. Any help is appreciated.

If anyone is willing I'd be willing to mail a bottle of Trilbey's to them. I realize it being a regional producer it's not in stores outside the NW.

Thanks,
Brian
