Chris Allingham Administrator Staff member Apr 27, 2000 #2 I've done it both ways, and both seem to work OK. My current practice is to open 2 vents at 50% or 3 vents at 33% rather than just one vent at 100%, assuming that this promotes more even combustion in the cooker. What do other folks do?

K Kevin Taylor TVWBB All-Star Apr 27, 2000 #3 I agree with Chris......I think you should have at least 2 vents open. This will allow some air flow to get through, especially on a very calm day. I have never experimented, but keep all 3 of mine roughly equal. Stogie
