You Can't Kill a Genesis

The Genesis restorations that have been posted are great. I have a 1997 red 3-burner that has had the lid handle, two piezo starters, gas supply hose and flavor bars replaced -- and that's it. I brush off the burners when it gets a bit balky and it goes right back to brand new performance.

It sits out uncovered in the New Jersey sun and snow and never complains. Apart from my 1959 Stratocaster, I can't think of a better product ever made.

My question is this: What is the oldest Weber gasser still in service that hasn't had a complete overhaul?

My 1992 Genesis has been outside uncovered all it's life. I finally had to replace the handle last year after the wooden one broke. That's all it's needed. I have new wood stained and will be repainting the rest of it. It's in remarkably good shape. What a great grill!
