Woke up wanting brisket but...

This morning I woke up wanting to do a brisket really bad. I went to the store hoping to find a small packer or a flat but they only had 13- 14 pounders. Didn't have enough time for that. Since it was just me, the wife and son I settled for ribs. I trimmed down some spares and rubbed the ends in Cowtown All Purpose and threw them on first to put in some beans. Let them go for about an hour then put the ribs on. They were rubbed in Cimarron Docs Sweet Rib Rub. Smoker was about 250 dome temp with 3 chunks of apple and 2 chunks pecan.

After the ribs where on a little over an hour I wrapped the ends and put on some beans mixed up with chopped onion, sauce, rub, brown sugar, and molasses.

About 2.5 hours I got the color I wanted so I wrapped.

Foiled for about 1.5 hours then sauced lightly.

Looks great. What did you sauce with? I'm looking for another rub that's different from my Memphis rub. Curious if the sauce took away from the rub.

I used a 50/50 mixture of Blues Hog original and Tennessee Red. First time I have done that. It was good but I wrapped with brown sugar and honey. They were really sweet. Usually with the Cimarron Docs Rub I go dry. It's my favorite rub. I get it from the KC BBQ Store.
