A couple of weeks ago I drove northwest to Dodgeville to check out Bob's B!tchin' BBQ, but the forum software doesn't like the links (because I have the name as part of the URLs) so if you'd like to read my writeup for another board you can go here. Thanks!

Love Bob's B!tchin BBQ! We've been there a couple times, great food and great sauces. We always buy a couple bottles of sauce to take home with us. Reminds me, we're out currently and we need to make a trip and load up again.

Thanks, Steve! I didn't use any of the sauces while I was there so I've never tried them, although I've seen a couple of the flavors in a local grocery store. How would you describe his regular sauce? Is it fairly sweet? Or more savory? One of these days I'd like to try some but I have to go through what I already have first! I'd really like to taste his brisket fresh off the smoker sometime, too.

Non-barbecue tip for you: if you've never done so, go have a burger at Ring's Bar in Plain sometime. They're terrific!

Bob's has a sampler of his sauces at the table, I think it's a 6 pack, when dining there and to be honest I don't remember how all his different flavors actually taste- except good! His Raspberry BBQ sauce which is sweet of course and is also our family's favorite! I'm guessing his regular sauce is more savory. I do know we liked them all, but the Raspberry really hits the spot, especially on our own pulled pork! He has a website and his sauces can be ordered over the internet, but it's a good weekend day trip for us to go and enjoy his food and pick up some sauce at the same time.

My wife, Liz, and I stopped in at Bob's B!tchin' BBQ last Friday afternoon on our way to Ferryville, Wisconsin on the Mississippi River...

The place is huge inside, plenty of seating and on this Friday at 130 pm, there were about 12 to 16 customers enjoying BBQ lunch.

We grabbed a booth near the long bar and ordered BEER.

It's what we do in Wisconsin. Drink Beer.

Spotted Cow by nearby New Glarus (Wisconsin) Brewery.

When the beers arrived, we placed our order.

Food arrived super quick, no more than 10 minutes...
I ordered the Brisket sandwich served on a grilled sourdough roll
