Like Mihm's in Menasha or Charcoal Inn in Sheboygan, Cinder's cooks over charcoal. They have a larger menu and while they do have "award winning baby back ribs" I don't know if they're truly barbecued or if they're grilled. Anyway, when I was there about 6 years ago I focused on the ground sirloin sandwich, which comes on a Semmel (similar to a Sheboygan hard roll) instead of a bun.
This is the west Appleton location. Notice how they advertise their use of charcoal!
Fun with slow shutter speeds!
The counter seats offer a view of the flattop and the grill in action.
It was a good sandwich but ground sirloin is just a bit leaner than I like ground beef to be. Also, I'd eaten a similar sandwich at Mihm's just a little earlier and was getting pretty full!
