Went to williams sonoma today and I came across a remote thermometer. It says it is for roasting and grilling, but nowhere could I find any info on temperature ranges. It was on sale for $39; so i was thinking it may be worth it since most of there other stuff is of high quality.
Anyone have any insight on this item?
it can be found at this web page
Thanks everybody

Scot,

This is a private-branded version of a RemoteChek remote probe thermometer. It's the single probe version as opposed to the double probe model sometimes found at Frontgate.com or Sharper Image. The double probe version has a transmitter that accepts two probes, so you can monitor two different pieces of meat or the meat and cooking grate temp at the same time on the base station.

It's a good quality unit and should work quite well. $39 is not a bad price, either. The double probe model usually sells for over twice that much.

I'd say go for it!

Regards,
Chris
