What's the price for pork in your area?

I'm curious to know what everyone is paying for pork at the average grocery store these days. I've been wanting to get some more pork shoulders but they are still at 1.79 a pound. I primarily shop at wegmans so i don't have a kroger, sams club, or costco nearby. Is 1.79 an outrageous cost or is that pretty cheap? Pre covid I could get them for .99 cents a pound. And don't even get me started on ribs. I won't get anymore of those till they come way down in price. Ribs i could get for about $10 a rack for baby backs and they are about $20+ per rack now. Let me know what you guys are paying!

2.49 for boneless pork shoulder at Costco. Used to be less, but was up to 2.99 a couple of months ago

sacramento CA area

Sounds pretty reasonable these days. Bone in shoulders are going for $2.44/lb. here. Our local Walmart has Smithfield extra tender ribs. Back ribs are $5.17/lb. (average $15/slab). St. Louis are $4.68/lb. (average $17.50/slab). Spares are $1.97/lb. (average $11/slab). 2 packs of spares are $1.74/lb. (average $10/slab) Local Safeway prices are marginally higher.

I usually buy spares anyway, so not paying much more than normal. I trim them St. Louis style and always make use of the trimmings, so no waste except the normal bones. The trimmings are great for rib tips, carnitas, grinding into sausage or tossing in a pot of beans. With the extra fat and connective tissue, they're juicier and more flavorful than back ribs too.

1.79 is pretty good for now. Costco used to be 179 to 199. But that was boneless, and no salt water. So about 10 to 25 percent better.
Local grocery stores would be better when on sale. I have paid as little as 77 cents. 88, or the more common 99 cents. Course that is with bone and always tender, er salt water weight. Good normal is 249 or 299 now. Course we have all seen a lot more lately

We can usually get a ham for < $1 per LBS. Presently $2+ per pound. I suspect they'll go down shortly, but I doubt we'll see anything below $!
