What I've been up to lately....

This awesome enclave of BBQ enthusiasts that @Chris Allingham created here 25 years ago is still my favorite place on the Internet. I still stop by here at least once a day to see what y'all are up to, and I learn new things every time. I haven't had too much time to post lately, since I apparently lost my mind and started a micro-bakery that I'm running out of my house! :) I'm having a blast, keeping it small and manageable, but absolutely love sharing my bread with all of my customers. This is in no way an advertisement for business, as I am only as local as local can be, baking up small batches for porch pickup. Just thought I'd share my current awesome slice of insanity with all of you (unintended pun, but I kind of like it!) :)

Graphic artist friend helped me create a logo:

Hope everyone at TVWBB enjoyed an awesome Fourth of July, and that all of your summer grilling sessions are filled with family and friends. See y'all soon! :)

Beautiful work, as always!

How local is local to buy some?

Well, Brett, you'd have to be willing to pick up from my porch in Redwood City on a Saturday between 2p-6p. Delivery fee to EDH would be more than you'd care to pay, I'm sure! :)

Rich
I’ll message you when I know I’m coming down and will beg for a load to buy.

I’m sure you’ve been here. Your loaves look like theirs. Acme is one of my top fave bakeries in CA.

Yep, I've been to most of the sourdough bakeries in/around the SF Bay. We've got a few small ones down here on the Peninsula that make some excellent breads (Little Sky Bakery in Menlo Park, Backhaus in San Mateo, and a few more.) ACME makes very good stuff!

We’ve driven to buy Acme and then head to Golden Boy for pizza in SF, and Stella Bakery for Italian pastries. The quest for the best never ends.

Amazing looking bread @Rich G

I started messing around with sourdough just before lockdowns started, but I could never master it. My hat's off to you!

Thanks, Dan, appreciate that. I've been messing with sourdough for about 12 years, and it's a learning curve for sure. It can be a simple process, and amazingly complex all at the same time.

Rich, to quote Chris in his own words, this is NOT the site celebrating 25 years.

June 12 marks the 25th anniversary of The Virtual Weber Bullet website that I started waaaaaay back in 1998. (I started this discussion forum as a companion to the website in 2000.)

That’s awesome Rich! I figured you were up to something. Our house is being worked on, I’m currently staying at my brothers, probably blocks from you.
Glad to see your having fun still.
