What is this piece?? I bought a Weber spirit 700 on marketplace used and this piece was just in the grill. Does it even go to the grill??

Yes that supports the manifold. They always fall off when the grill is moved.

I would put a loose zip tie around it once you reinstall so you don’t lose it

The rounded end hooks under the manifold body and the sharp creased other end clips over the edge of the bracket that holds the igniter.

I somehow ended up with a couple of these myself --- I always thought they were 'hanger adaptors' for propane tanks with weird handle configs until I finally figured out they were for the round tube manifolds.
