At first glance I thought it was a brisket, but after reading the label and going through my copy of "Joy" and some images off the web, I think its a strip roast aka top loin or shell roast. Does that look about rite?

I just checked the sale flyer and it was advertised as Strip Loin roast. The wording on the label had me as my wife brought it home from the market.

Hmm, it should be. The one side is a bit thicker than the other. I divided it and vac-sealed, planning on doing one on the WSM for X-mas.

I'm guessing it's the thin end of a NY Strip. Should be able to just cut the thick end into steaks and make a roast out of the skinny end. Great deal!!!
