What counts as a "view?

I checked out this one thread and before I did, I noticed how many views it had. After I viewed the thread, the count did not change. In all my time here, I have never paid any attention to that. Does this site only count the views from "guests"?

I thought it was every time somebody clicked on a thread, but I clicked on yours's three times and the count still says one.
Could be a glitch..
Now it says two..

I thought so also Tim. Here is the full story. I saw that this one thread had xxx views. That number is suppose to be bad luck, so I thought I would check out the thread and change that number for the poster. The number did not change. I went back in quite a few times and it still would not change, so that is why I am asking this question.

I would believe when you look at your own thread it is not a view and I also think but don't know.....but I think 1 person can only contribute 1 view, doesn't matter how many times that person goes back in.
