Western Beef Ribs

I found Western Beef Ribs on sale at Winn Dixie and bought them out of curiosity. I threw one slab on the WSM with my spares ribs. The spare ribs were great, but the Western Ribs so tough I don't know if I will even bother with the second slab. They appear to be similar to a boneless spare rib. Since there is a post about Beef Ribs I was hoping someone could tell me more about them and what to try for the second slab.
 
If this is the same as Beef Ribs I've cooked them many times. They're my wife's favorite. You need to be sure you remove the membrane from the back and it can be rather difficult. I believe my cook time was over 5 hrs somewhat. I probably marinated them overnight in Dales's or for less sodium, Moore's. I believe that helps to tenderize them. If you cook them till they recede from the bone and keep water in the pan, I don't believe they should be tough.
