I need to purchase a bunch of parts for my Genesis 1000.

Who's has better prices Weber or Ereplacments?

Thanks

The answer is simple.................................It depends. Some parts are cheaper directly from Weber and some from the other. Since Weber does not publish prices you have no way of knowing ahead of time

I agree with LMichaels. Additionally, ereplacements will sell parts to anyone who wants to buy them. Weber will only sell you parts for your specific model of grill/cooker. For example, when I wanted to upgrade my Silver Kettle to a Gold, I went thru ereplacements with no problem.

What I've found is sometimes Weber won't have the parts any longer and ereplacment will still have some NOS because they don't have the volume Weber has. It also what Dwain said, I tried to get some parts from Weber for my 1000LX but because the serial # was not readable they wouldn't sell me the parts, that's how I found ereplacmentparts.

That'a a really good point. The serial number on my Genesis 2200 is not readable.

Sounds like I should just go straight to ereplacementparts. Their prices are the best compared to other Weber parts sellers.

I found some great deals on Amazon for a few of the Weber parts I needed, as well as free shipping :)

So I contacted Weber directly about all the parts I needed.

Their prices were MUCH better than ereplacementparts.

Weber also threw in a bunch of parts.

I probably saved $50. on my order.

As well, they were able to find the 'elusive' propane scale decal, that I was told didn't exist anymore.

Very happy !

One note - some items that Weber will supply don't match the original parts in style - such as the burner knobs. There are places where you can get perfect replicas of the original knobs. Ebay is a good source for parts like that, but prices can vary widely.

Ohhh, I just went and checked and sure enough the new Weber knobs are not like the original.

Thanks for the heads up.
