Weber Summit Free.....Not Mine


 
2014 was reminiscent of our childhood winters. Lot of snow, but no big snows.
1967, 1979, 1999, 2011, 2015, and a bit of 2021 were big snow days.
1979, 1978, and 2014 were big year totals.
I remember quite a few years with -20s. Even a seasoned and young Chicagoan feels it once the temp goes below -20. Jan 20 1985 i bbq'ed. -27. The 80s and early 90s had sone cold days. Not so sure anymore.
We may have 2-3 years left.
 
I lived in Chicago in January 1985. As a Floridian, I particularly remember that -27🥶!

I didn’t realize until then that the soft foam seats in my old Pontiac Grand Prix could freeze as hard as concrete!

As you can see in my avatar I like to visit the snow, (Mammoth Mountain) and hold some off the hook parking lot BBQ's.
This particular day was 55 MPH winds and we had to BBQ at Canyon Lodge with all our snowboard gear on, including goggles...
I did teriyaki Salmon...
