I don’t think they are 20-year grills, but they aren’t the worst things I have seen. New price is crazy - to me - but there are some deals out there on used ones. What’s the story on this one?

I have always kind of wanted to have one of the short-lived ivory ones in my dream museum.

It’s just crud. Comes right off with degreaser and a plastic scraper.

I think one possibility would be to ditch those metal slats. Go retro by rust treating and painting the frame black and make wood slats to replace the metal ones. It would look especially good with an ivory color hood, but even that black hood version would get a definite facelift.

My God. These are easily flipped for $180-$200 in the Spring and Summer. Extremely easily. Could probably be patient and hold out for more too.

Alternately, try to register with Weber. 10 yr lid to wheels warranty, even on the flavorizers and grates.
