After a long period without any old webers available the last 2 months several were posted!
Finished with my RedHead Genesis & a few days later got a Craig's list notification bout a Weber gasser.
Talked to the guy he had bought used a year ago & had replaced the burners, cast iron grates & porceloin flavorizer bars & still couldn't get working well. He couldn't control the heat he said he'd get it set & the temp would rise on its own.
Went & looked at it , great shape!
Frame no rust.
Firebox & hood great shape.
Grates, burners & bars minimal use.
It took about 2 minutes before I spotted the problem , ordered the correct part & hopefully it'll work fine:D

John,
Just curious in the 18 hundreds there was a Rev. John Ford from Port Gibson MS. Just wondered if you were any relations.

What do you see with the regulator that suggests it's bad? You can use those lil air cans you buy to blow the dust out of your keyboard to clean out the regulators. I've brought back several from the dead doing that. Nice lil BBQ, hope it works as planned, it's last a long long long time

Someone had attached a high pressure regulator from an old high BTU burner .
$15 for a new low pressure regulator should fix.

$13 gas grill regulator fixed
It's in really good shape , only part needed is new thermometer.
Took the cast iron grates from this & put on my redhead!
Put my porceloin steel grates & put on this.
Sold my deer camp spirit 500 to a hunting camp member who's been impressed by how well if cooks for what I bought this grill for & the regulator & moving the silver B to hunt camp.
