Weber Poultry Roaster in a Bullseye

I haven't seen it posted before, and had been dying to try it. I kept my GBS grate system, ci insert and poultry roaster from my old kettle setup. I had used the roaster on chicken before in the kettle, but never a turkey breast in my Bullseye pellet grille.

It was easier than I thought, and will be further refining its use in the future. Simply prepped the turkey breast with rubs and injected it for moisture and flavor, placing a drip pan underneath to catch all the drippings for gravy! Used the grilles own probe as well as Thermoworks Smoke, which seemed to be a bit more accurate.

Set it at 250 for first 20 minutes to impart a mild smoke flavor, then finished at 350 or the remaining 2 hr 30 minutes. It couldn't have been easier, cooking in a pellet kettle without the charcoal issues. The Weber roaster is high quality ss and makes cleanup a breeze! As @jontofte has said, the Bullseye is the kettle that Weber should have made, and their phone app is first rate. For Christmas I have another bone in breast, and may add some potatoes and veggies to the mix, placing around the bird. Been talking about doing this for awhile now, and this gave me confidence to experiment further with this grille.

Fine look bird!

Not familiar with the Bullseye either (I do have a Recteq RT1250 pellet pooper)

I am not familiar with that Weber Poulty Roaster. I had to look it up. A bit spendy for essentially a beer can chicken rack I think.

The Rectec B380 https://www.recteq.com/products/rt-b380x-bullseye-deluxe is perhaps the pellet kettle grille that Weber should have designed. It accepts all the kettle accessories which makes it very versatile.
The roaster is made of high quality ss and designed as an accessory to the GBS system, which Weber doesn’t seem to advertise much anymore. Current price is much higher than what I paid, but is far more usable and will last longer than my cheaper beer can chicken rack.
The turkey was great- thanks.
