Weber Platinum II Flavorizer Bars

G'day Folks,

I've managed to get my hands on a Weber Platinum II. Managed to get it working, pretty pleased overall however, it certainly has seen better days so I would like to replace the flavorizer bars. My only issue is I am unsure of which to get. It should be noted that I am in Australia so unfortunately cannot get some of things you guys get e.g., rcplanebuyer.

Any Australian folks here who can help me out otherwise, happy to take any Amazon recommendations from others.

As far as I know, there are only two sources for those flavorizer bars and I'm sure by now you know that too. One is RCplanebuyer and the other I believe is on Amazon. Good luck.

The original part # is 9913. Hopefully at least one the places they are available from will ship to Australia. Weber Australia may even have them if you contact them.

No, those grills take a specific 5 bar set.

Correct, I am after the set of 13. I note that at the moment I've only got 12 as one must have been lost at some point.

The reviews of the Amazon ones give me pause. I may consider contacting local metal fabricators to make me the flavorizer bars but I imagine that will cost me a bit.

Maybe they were 13 in Australia and outside the US? I was pretty satisfied with a set of bars and burners I got off Amazon. They’re not anywhere near RCPlaneBuyer quality.

Nathan. If your grill had a smoker box, you usually put it on the left or right side and then there would only be 12 bars.

If you buy from Amazon, just get the thickest bars you can find, this is if Amazon ships to you.

I believe you are correct. The BBQ came with a corroded smoker flue which I have thrown away.

Since the external dimensions of the 5 bar box which was used here for this model, and those for the older 13 bar box are identical maybe Weber never bothered to make the change in Australia?
