I was gifted a 22" Lid and Bowl. The lid has a bit of damage on the lip edge of the lid as shown in the pic.
Should I worry about it or is there something I can do?
I have just finished refurbishing 5 Weber Kettles I got off of FB Market Place for my 2 HSBBQ comp teams.
Would be great to have the Lime Green back in action!

Looks like the porcelain didn't bond well to that inside curve?
I would just rub oil or spray it with pam to keep from rusting.
How's the bowl?

I’ve used Testor Enamel modeling paint to touch up small blemishes on outside of kettle bowl and lids and any exterior surface I think rust could get a foothold. I was able to mix paints to match my Copper colored kettle including metallic fleck. It has held up well so far.

Many kettle fans are opposed to touchup paint, but I personally think that a minor repair as us needed fir that otherwise like new grill would make a big difference.

You can try to contact Weber, they may send you a new lid. If the Color is no longer available they may offer you another new kettle in current colors.

I repaired my lid using high heat primer, followed by high heat clear coat mixed with a color matched exterior paint. It has held up fine. It's not the best looking repair, but it is hidden by lid bale hardware and will hold up.20231020_120158.JPG
