Weber FT 400 gas conversion

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a Weber FT400 I’m Marketplace for $100 (Australia). When I returned home realise that it was natural gas not LPG. Trying to do a conversion myself but can’t workout the orifice I need to replace the natural gas ones. Does anybody have an idea to sizing or a link.

You're going to be disappointed. Because you cannot convert those with simply orifices. The valves are different between NG and LP versions as well. You will need a whole manifold.
 
I guess the one thing is that most of the time a Flat Top I would expect is used pretty much wide open. But I agree with Larry that a manifold - or replacing each individual valve - is what is needed if you want to have full range flexibility. I will leave this to @LMichaels to confirm, but I believe that if you just change the orifices, it won't be dangerous going NG to LP, it just won't do lower temps effectively.

Yes correct. In any case, unless valves (correctly) are changed out or the entire manifold there is no way to from NG to LP effectively. I know how to do it the other way, but once done you cannot go back. And I don't recommend it for the faint of heart or anyone unskilled in calculating the BTU and flow rates
