I called Weber Saturday evening to buy some grill straps for the 18” WSM I bought in 2010. I had modified it back then with washers because the top grate was unstable. It worked fine when cooking one butt or ribs. I’ve recently been smoking 3 butts on the top grate and the top grate iis a bit unstable with that much weight. I explained this to the Weber representative.
The representative said he would be happy to send a new center section. I told him that wasn’t necessary. I received an email immediately when I got off the phone with an order number for a center section. It just arrived with grill straps and a grommet.
To say the least, I’m impressed.
 
I once called on a weekend and talked to nice lady at Weber about a rusted shroud on a Spirit gasser. She sent me a new one right away.

When my Sony TV acted up under warranty for the third time, I had to make a dozen calls, send pictures, and lose my temper before they finally replaced it.

I have bought two more Weber products since then. Sony can forget about getting any more of my money.
