Weber #99243 tank scale about to become NLA

I've noticed in my latest parts searches that the Weber #99243 tank scale is being offered for sale on fewer sites and in most cases, for a lot more money than they used to go for. This is the tank scale that most Silver B/C grills use as well as most Gold and older Summit grills that don't have an enclosed cabinet with the tank inside. Yes, there may be some alternative tank scales that could be used instead although I don't know off the top of my head which ones. I have also refurbished them, but sometimes you just need or want a brand new one for a really nice restoration or maybe a personal grill. So just a heads up on this, the end is near. I've noticed the same trends before, most recently before the 8" wheel went extinct. If anyone knows of another readily available option for this scale, please feel free to post it here.

All of the Spirit and Spirit II, as well as Genesis II, etc. tank scales all fit the same hole pattern to be mounted just the same.
Also, the II versions have gauge stickers on both sides. I know they won’t be “era correct” but just sayin’.

Yeah, I knew the ones with the stickers on both sides would work. I wasn't sure about the other ones though.

I wonder if the weber deal to sell exclusively through Ace will affect parts and if distributors are already cutting their inventories as we head toward 2026
In the case of the parts for older grills I think Weber has made the decision well in advance. The first thing that happens is that a certain part is no longer available for purchase on their own website. The next thing is that all the sites that carry said part start raising prices on their remaining inventory until supplies dry up. One of the most aggravating things is that when you pull up a schematic for an older grill on Weber's own website is that they will no longer list a part number for something they don't carry anymore, which makes it harder to find said part elsewhere on the Internet.

No problem Josh. I certainly understand the desire to pare down the glut of spare parts. An even bigger need is those brackets that screw down to hold the tank in place. Too many grill pickups come without those.

Oh man those would have been easy to grab. I didn't even think of it.

I notice there's two different types of those tank scales the ones that are inside the cabinet have the readout on the right side and the ones for the outside of the cabinet have the readout on the left side so that it's visible.
