Weber 22.5 Rotisserie Project

I found and old kettle on my way home - I want to make an adaptation for a rotisserie instead of buying the ring. It's an old one and is missing one of the handles on the side. Rusty and a broken leg. So I decided to set it on wheels (not like a Performer but maybe like a Ford T model

) I used and old cart from a previous Sunbeam Grill I did have. Check it out - let me know what you think!!
I will post additional pictures of the rotisserie adaptation.

Saludos.

Is the base of the kettle fixed to the cart? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Thanks Joel - it is fixed at the cart with screws. The cart had some tabs where the old grill was screwed at. So I just bend them to fix the kettle.

I am back again on the Rotisserie Project.
About a week ago I started to figure out how to cut the kettle. I have a Dremel Tool so I decided to give it some use.
First I drilled a hole with a 5/8 bit and expanded with different bits up to 1/2 inch.
After that I did cut from the lip down to the hole to make a U shape. It was not pretty but after I buffered does not look that bad. (also eliminated any sharp edges!!)

Over the oposite side, I made the same but did not cut the lip, and drilled two additional holes to fix the motor bracket.

The spit looks something like this when is fix in the holes.

I fixed the bracket with nuts & bolts and set the motor on the bracket. (This is a cheap rotisserie I did buy at Walmart for 25 dlls.)

And Voila!!!! - end up something like this!!!

That afternoon I salted a chicken and set it on the modified kettle. This is the result of the journey.

Thnks!!!

My next one is to paint the cart and kettle and set a diffent table in the cart - more like a Performer or my Poorformer!!??
