Water in temp gauge

I have some how managed to get water inside the lid mounted temp gauge. Is there a way to get it back out? When I was done smoking yesterday I added some more lump and closed the top vent to 1/4, really cranked up the heat thinking it would evaporate out. Didn't seem to work as well as I had hoped. Ideas?

As the water is on the outside of the smoker, it didn't get hot enough.

As water boils/evaps at 212, remove the entire gauge and put it in your toaster oven (or regular oven) and kick the temp up to 250. Don't do it in your smoker--just a waste of fuel.

The water should just boil/evap out as you expected.
