My friend Kevin Kawahara sent me a link to this blog post back in January 2014. It's an interesting piece on the blogger's visit to the Danish Crown pork slaughterhouse in Horsens, Denmark, touted as "the most modern slaughterhouse in the world". I share the blogger's opinion that's it not only good but a responsibility for us as meat-eaters to know how animals get onto our plates. I think you'll find it interesting.

Best,
Chris

Very interesting. I did not find it disturbing at all. In fact, all of those ribs kinda got me hungry. :)

Thanks Chris; it's good for people to understand where our food comes from. That operation looks like it is very well run.

Interesting. I grew up in the midwest and one of the things we used to buy was Danish Bacon in a Can! So that is where it came from.... :) Anyone else remember bacon in a can??
