I was thiking about it (vinegar powder) at work today and wasn't even sure there was such a thing, so when I came home I looked it up on the net. I found this site.

Sounds like it would be a good ingredient for a rub. I think it would add a nice tang. Has anyone tried it? And if you did,how was it? ....Take it easy.
 
Very interesting Bill...but if you put woshtie sauce on your beef or pork first, won't that be just the same as putting liquid vinegar on...it says you can rehydrate it with a liquid!

In any event, it does sound pretty cool.
 
Haven't heard of powdered vinegar until now.
Of course, two weeks ago I hadn't heard of powered Worcestershire either.
A chef from the Greenbrier turned me on to that. He uses it in his BBQ rubs.
