Vieluxe Score Again!

So browsing facebook marketplace of course, and another Vieluxe popped up about 40 mins away from me! The seller didn’t get back to me for about 3 weeks, but he replied back that he had been away. Paid $300 for it! Story was that the house he bought had this grill (the house was small and he said the owner tended to “go big” on all his purchases, hence the $8,000 grill lol). Anyway, unfortunately it has sat away in a salt water environment, so there is some corrosion, but remarkably some of the flavorizer bars and all the burners seem to be in great shape! The grill is partially taken apart ( I was told this was to help when moving it!) but everything looks to be there.

Sadly, I am not interested in doing a resto on this, but bought it mainly to keep some spare parts on hand. I’m going to keep some things off of it, but will offer other parts for sale. Let me know if you’re interested and I can send pics. Plan is to strip it down tomorrow if I have time.

Will post more pics as I start to break it down

I am potentially interested in a number of parts if any are ones you are willing to sell. The obvious ones are any burners you would be willing to sell and any intact flavorizer bars, but I sure wish there was a way to get the assemblies that hold the grates and flavorizers safely removed (not easy, as they are welded to the firebox). PM me when you have time and let me know what you are thinking of parting out. Thanks!

Hi Jon…I could hook you up with any flavorizers you need as I have the ones from my good grill that I’m replacing with new ones from Dave Santana.

It looks like the holders are spot welded in 3 or 4 places. I probably could try to drill out the welds and take each one out separately? I’ll probably want to keep the the one closest to the knobs as the one on my good grill is cracked.
