Very high or no readings

I have just reconnected my Heater meter (the LCD appears to have failed, missing one third of the display) but I may have more issues.

The pit temp is showing about 420f whether or not I have plugged in the probe, and the other thermistor probes are not registering as being connected at all.

Any idea what I should check or is this heater meter kaput?
 
I'd start by checking the configuration to make sure they're still set to the proper type and set of coefficients for the Thermistor probes, and the right mV/C for the thermocouple. Also, if you're on older firmware, there was a bug that could cause the thermocouple to get locked to the "low range + high accuracy" mode that stops around low-400F and wouldn't flip over to "full range + low accuracy" mode. It needs to be in this second mode in order to detect that nothing is plugged in, although I would think it would fix itself when you plugged something in.
