Not a big fan of beer can chicken, but do like the results I get when using the stand. Being a gravy lover too, I was thrilled when my neighbor gave me this:

I have the stainless one. I like how they come apart, makes it much easier to clean and store.

I had one, gave it away to my old man. Only used it once, but for real......a beer can fits inside of it still if you like the beer can effect.
I can name about 3 ways chicken comes off the grill better than vertical, in my own opinion I suppose anyways.
