Venison on my WSM?

I’ve seen it posted that you shouldn’t put hotdogs or fish on your WSM if you’re primarily using it for beef/pork/chicken. If I’m wanting to smoke some venison, is it okay to smoke on WSM?

Stuff and nonsense! Smoke what you want. Why would there be any reason not to put a hot dog on?

I do bacon wrapped venison back straps all the time, you will love it.

I'm not gonna name names, but that whole hot dog fish thing was from a guy who does Competition cooking.
While that might make sense for comp cooking, us backyard guys can do whatever we want..
